How does the heater work ?
The Heatstar needs to be connected to a standard electrical circuit by a competent electrician or simply plugged into the wall. Heaters come with screw fixings to be fitted into a solid wall above where you will be sitting, if you can, try to angle the heater so that it will radiate its heat downwards to you rather than straight across the room. Portable stands are available.
When the heater is first switched on it will use its infrared power to firstly
heat objects and people who in turn give off heat to warm the air. You will soon feel the warmth on your skin from the panel although the actual room temperature is still low.
Heatstar heaters are robustly made, it will give off a gentle glow when "on" this produces the infrared radiation, and there are no moving parts so there are no irritating noises! Infrared will not create air currents, so there is no movement of dust and it is able to settle, this is of real benefit to those wearing contact lenses, or who suffer from hayfever, asthma or other bronchial conditions as the air conditions are more pleasant.
